Our Mission
Created by Lewis Michael Bond and Luiza Liz Bond, The Cinema Cartography inspires new ways of experiencing Art.
We do this because we believe that Art changes the world by empowering people with new perspectives. Through our own diverse and accessible online content, we aspire to promote critical thinking and improve people's relationship with Art and the world around them.
We explore a broad spectrum of artistic expressions, from cinema to visual arts, literature, and beyond, offering insights and analyses that deepen understanding and appreciation. Our content is designed to be inclusive, appealing to both seasoned art enthusiasts and those new to the world of art.
By bridging the gap between complex artistic concepts and everyday experience, we encourage our audience to see art not just as a form of entertainment, but as a vital part of our cultural and personal identity. We believe that by engaging with art, individuals can develop a more nuanced view of society and themselves, fostering empathy and creativity.
Through educational videos, articles, and discussions, The Cinema Cartography aims to create a community where ideas about art and its impact can be shared and explored. We invite you to join us on this journey, as we continue to celebrate the power of art to enlighten, challenge, and inspire.
Our Journey
2024 - present
The House of Tabula
The House of Tabula, launched by Luiza Liz Bond and Lewis Michael Bond, is a production house that serves as the hub for their diverse artistic endeavours beyond the scope of The Cinema Cartography. Guided by a unique manifesto and code of ethics, this creative incubator fosters a wide array of artistic mediums, including music, paintings, photography, short films, graphic novels and more. This space provides a collaborative environment where experimental and cross-disciplinary projects can flourish. Among their innovative ventures is the "Gorilla Tales" series, a unique storytelling challenge in which the two artists create short stories within one week, using only the resources they have at their disposal. This initiative highlights their dedication to exploring new narrative forms and pushing the boundaries of creativity, encouraging artists to think outside traditional frameworks and embrace spontaneous, resourceful artistry.

Their body of work extends beyond film analysis, encompassing a variety of opinion pieces that explore intersections with other fields like games, sociology, philosophy, and the history of art. This breadth of work reflects their commitment to broadening the current cultural landscape.
Luiza and Lewis also co-host "Acid is Bad for Business," a weekly podcast that provides an unscripted, off-the-cuff exploration of pop culture, art, and a myriad of other topics.
